CallASAP — Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 26, 2026

CallASAP ("the app") is published by DAP Collections. The app lets you schedule a simulated ("fake") incoming phone call to your own device, where an AI plays a caller you describe. This policy explains what information the app handles and where it goes.

The short version

Information we collect

Your prompt. The caller name and the description of what the call is about. This is sent to our servers to generate the call script and voice, or to run a live conversation, and to perform an automated safety check.

Anonymous user ID. On first launch we create a random, anonymous Firebase Authentication ID. It is not linked to your name, email, phone number, or Google account. It tracks your token balance and call history.

Call and token records. Call times, type (voice message or live conversation), status, the generated script, and a log of token grants and spends.

Safety moderation records. Every automated content-check decision is logged. Where a request is flagged, its text and the caller name are retained for review. Where a request is allowed, only a short truncated sample (about 60 characters) is kept. Calls you file with "Report this call" are stored for review.

Optional Google sign-in. If you choose to sign in (Account → "Sign in with Google"), Google shares your name, email address, and profile picture with us, and your anonymous ID becomes linked to your Google account so your tokens and history survive a reinstall or a new phone. We use this only to operate your account — never for advertising. If you never sign in, we never receive it.

Hashed device identifier. To stop abuse of the one-time free token grants (for example by reinstalling the app repeatedly), we send a one-way cryptographic hash (SHA-256) of your device's Android ID to our servers when the app starts. The raw identifier never leaves your device, and before storage our servers hash it again with a secret key. The result cannot be reversed to identify your device, and is used only to record which one-time grants a device has already claimed — never for advertising or tracking.

In-app feedback. If you use "Send feedback", we store the star rating you gave, any note you typed, your app version, and your anonymous user ID. It is used only to improve the app — never published, never shown to other users, never used for advertising. Sending feedback is entirely optional. This is separate from rating us on Google Play: your in-app rating stays with us and is not posted to the store.

Diagnostics. Basic crash and performance data to keep the app stable.

Contacts (optional)

If you choose "Use a real contact", the contact's photo is copied into the app's private storage on your device so it can appear on the call screen — the photo is never uploaded to our servers. The contact's first name only (for example "Dan" from "Dan James Patrick") is sent to our servers, because it is the name the AI caller uses and it is checked by our safety screening. We do not send the surname, phone number, email address, or any other contact field. Contacts access is optional; the app works fully without it.

Microphone (live conversations only)

For a live conversation call, your microphone audio is streamed in real time to the AI service so it can respond to you. This audio is not recorded, not stored by us, and not used to train models. The microphone is not used for recorded voice-message calls, and not used at any other time.

Advertising

The app shows optional rewarded video ads through Google AdMob (watch an ad to earn tokens). To serve those ads, AdMob collects and processes device and advertising identifiers, and may use them to show you personalised ads; see Google's privacy policy and how Google uses ad data. That processing is Google's, not ours — we do not control it and we receive no advertising profile from it. You can reset or delete your advertising ID, and opt out of ad personalisation, in Android Settings → Privacy → Ads. When you complete an ad, your anonymous user ID is passed to Google so the reward can be verified and credited to the correct account. We never share your prompts, your contacts, or your call content with advertisers.

What we do NOT collect

Who processes your data

ProviderPurpose
Google Firebase (Authentication, Firestore, Cloud Storage, Cloud Functions)Anonymous identity, token balance, call records, temporary audio storage
Google Cloud RunRelays live conversations between your device and the AI
Google Vertex AI (Gemini)Generates the call script and voice, powers live conversations, and performs the automated safety check
Google AdMobOptional rewarded ads and reward verification

These providers process data on our behalf. Data is processed on Google Cloud infrastructure (project region: US), which may involve transfer to and storage in the United States and other countries. Data in transit is encrypted (TLS).

Data retention

Data deletion

Uninstalling the app removes all local data (scheduled calls, cached audio, contact photos) and ends access to your anonymous account. To delete the server-side records associated with your anonymous ID, see Delete your data.

Your rights

Contacts, microphone, and notifications are optional and can be revoked at any time in Android Settings (the app still works, though incoming calls will not appear without notifications). You can reset or delete your advertising ID in Android Settings → Privacy → Ads. Depending on where you live (for example the EEA, the UK, or California) you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal information, and to complain to your local regulator. Contact us to exercise these rights.

AI-generated content

Call scripts and voices are generated by AI and are clearly labelled as AI-generated in the app during a call. Requests are automatically screened, and we prohibit content that impersonates real businesses or officials, demands money or personal information, simulates genuine emergencies, or targets or harasses a real person.

Children

CallASAP is intended for users aged 18 and over. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us with information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes

We may update this policy; material changes will be reflected by the date above.
